Ali Pasha Castle / Το κάστρο του Αλή Πασά

The Castle of Ali Pasha is Located in the Municipality of Parga between the Villages of Anthousa and Agia. It was built in 1814 by the Ali Pasha of Ioannina during the siege of Parga.
Τo Κάστρο του Αλή Πασά βρίσκεται στο Δήμο Πάργας ανάμεσα στα χωριά Ανθούσα και Αγιά. Χτίστηκε το 1814 από τον Αλή Πασά των Ιωαννίνων κατά τη διάρκεια της πολιορκίας της Πάργας.
Τo Κάστρο του Αλή Πασά βρίσκεται στο Δήμο Πάργας ανάμεσα στα χωριά Ανθούσα και Αγιά. Χτίστηκε το 1814 από τον Αλή Πασά των Ιωαννίνων κατά τη διάρκεια της πολιορκίας της Πάργας.

Parga is a wonderful place with many sightseeings (Parga Castle, Parga Islet, Natural Caves in Lichnos). Moreover there and other great places and sightseeings which you may visit during your visit in Parga, such as the Nikopolis, Nekromanteion, Bridge of Arta etc.
1) The Castle of Parga
The castle of Parga was built by Normans in the 14th century. After many successive destructions it took its final form by the venetians.

Valtos Beach
Valtos Beach is the largest beach of Parga. It has a coastline of 3 km. It is located close to the castle of Parga. In Valtos Beach you can enjoy many water sports such as water skiing or tubes. Moreover there are many nice cafeterias to enjoy your drinks, and very nice Tavernas! You can go there through the boats which depart from the jetty of parga, or you can go there on foot or with a means of Transport.Valtos Beach

From the 13.6.201 until the end of August took place the photo exhibition of the Nautical Club Of Parga "100 years Parga"
Ο Ναυτικός Όμιλος Πάργας απο τις 13.6.2010 εως και περίπου τα μέσα Αυγούστου διοργάνωσε έκθεση φωτογραφίας με θέμα "Πάργα Ένας Αιώνας". Η έκθεση πραγματοποιείθηκε στο Μέγαρο Βασιλά.
Εδώ είναι μερικές φωτογραφίες από το χώρο της έκθεσης.

1. Zagori
Zagori is an area in the Pindus Mountains in the prefecture of Epirus. It contains 45 beautiful villages Known as Zagorohoria.
In Zagoria there is the Gorge of Vikos. According to the World Guiness Book, the gorge of Vikos is the deepest Gorge in the World

Preveza is located about 45 minutes away from Parga. Preveza is located in the tip of Amvrakikos Gulf. In Preveza there are many attractions such as Nikopolis which is located tn the suburbs of Preveza. Nikopolis was built in 31 by Octavian in memory of his victory over Anthony and Cleopatra At Actium. Moreover, in Mesopotamus a village close to Preveza is located the archaelogical site of Nekromanteion.

Main Events which take place each Summer in Parga
* Pargina (Cultural Events which take place the whole summer)
* Kanaria, 14-15 th of August (In 14 th of August takes place Folk Festival in the Island of Virgin Mary and in the 15 th of August takes place the "Varkarola", in which a great number of boats decorated with colorfoul lights sail around the port of Parga. (watch the videos below)

Parga has a great variety of hotels and apartments! The quality of the most apartments and hotels is excellent and the visitors can enjoy a great accomodation there! The prices range from about 25 Euro to 140 Euro. The prices are fluctuated in connection to the month (eg. the prices in high season in August are a little bit higher than the prices the other months). The hotels and apartments are in many locations such as Valtos, the centre of Parga, Lichnos, Agia, Anthousa.

The Islet of Virgin Mary / Το νησάκι της Παναγιάς
The Islet of Virgin Mary is a wonderful little island, located opposite of the port of Parga!
The island has a little church and a castle of French Construction. The visitors can go there with a pedal boat (5 min), with a sea bot (3min) or swimming (ab 15 minutes).
Το Νησάκι της Παναγίας είναι ένα πανέμορφο μικρό νησί το οποίο βρισκέται απέναντι από το λιμάνι της Πάργας,. Το νησάκι της Παναγίας προσδίδει μία έντονη γραφικότητα στην Πάργα. Είναι γαλλικής κατασκευής και οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να πάνε εκεί είτε μέσω ποδηλάτου Θαλλάσης απο την Παραλία κρυονέρι (περίπου 5 λεπτά) είτε κολυμπώντας (περίπου 15 λεπτά)
